THE HIRO TRAINING EXPERIENCE
From a child stepping onto the mat for the first time to an adult looking for a new challenge, every HIRO program is built around purposeful training, personal growth and skills that carry beyond the dojo.
01 / PRESCHOOL, PRE-K &
KINDERGARTEN STRONG. AGES 3–6
LITTLE HIROS
Little Hiros is where the first foundations are built. Through movement, structure and age-appropriate martial arts challenges, young children develop the physical, mental and social skills they need to learn, grow and become more confident.
Through carefully structured activities, children develop coordination, balance, body awareness and reaction skills while learning to listen, focus and follow direction. They begin to understand how to control their movements, work with others and approach new challenges with greater confidence.
Classes combine movement, martial arts fundamentals and clear routines in an environment where children can enjoy learning while still being challenged. Along the way, we reinforce respect, self-control, perseverance and responsibility. These lessons help students develop skills that matter not only on the mat, but at home, in preschool, Pre-K, kindergarten and beyond.
02 / SCHOOL-AGE STRONG. CONFIDENT. READY. AGES 7–11
HIRO KIDS
Hiro Kids is where focus turns into effort and effort becomes progress. Students build strong karate fundamentals while developing coordination, strength, fitness, confidence and self-control through increasingly challenging training.
At this age, children begin to understand an important lesson: progress is earned. New skills, stripes, belts and responsibilities come through practice, perseverance and consistent effort, not simply because they showed up. Learning to work toward something, struggle with it and eventually achieve it builds a kind of confidence that can’t simply be handed to them.
Training also prepares students for challenges beyond the dojo. We teach children to carry themselves with confidence, communicate clearly, set boundaries and respond appropriately when facing pressure or bullying. At the same time, respect, responsibility, concentration and leadership remain central. These skills support them at school, at home and in everyday life.
03 / STRONGER IN BODY. STRONGER IN MIND. AGES 12+
TEENS & ADULTS
Teens & Adults is training with purpose. Students develop strong martial arts fundamentals, practical self-defense, fitness and physical capability through training that becomes more demanding as their skills grow. The goal isn’t simply to learn techniques. It’s to become more capable, disciplined and confident in yourself.
For teens, the dojo provides something increasingly important as they grow: a place to be challenged, take responsibility and build confidence through real accomplishment. Training develops focus, perseverance and self-discipline while teaching students to handle pressure, setbacks and difficult situations with greater maturity and control.
For adults, those same lessons take on a different meaning. Training creates an opportunity to step away from everyday demands, challenge yourself physically and mentally, improve your skills and continue progressing toward something that has to be earned. Whatever age you begin, the standard is the same: show up, put in the work and leave stronger than you arrived.
04 / AUTHENTIC BOXING. REAL EXPERIENCE.
BOXING
HIRO Boxing is built around authentic technique, movement and ring-tested fundamentals - not simply a boxing-inspired workout. The program was developed by professional boxer Marco Deckman, bringing nearly two decades of boxing and kickboxing experience into the way students train.
Marco represented Germany in Full Contact kickboxing for eight years and spent two years with the German national boxing team, including four years training at the national-team headquarters in Berlin. His experience also took him into training environments around the world, including the legendary Wild Card Boxing Club in Los Angeles, where he trained under Hall of Fame boxing trainer Freddie Roach. He has also worked as a trainer with a world-ranked light-heavyweight professional boxer.
That experience shapes the program: strong fundamentals, footwork, defense, timing, combinations, conditioning and intelligent application. Whether you’re new to boxing or building on existing skills, the goal is to learn the craft properly and keep progressing.

05 / PRACTICAL SELF-DEFENSE. REAL-WORLD SKILLS.
KRAV MAGA
HIRO Krav Maga is practical self-defense built around awareness, decisive action and techniques designed for real-world situations. The program is based on the system and experience of Grandmaster Mihran Aghvinian, bringing decades of martial arts knowledge and a practical understanding of self-defense into the curriculum.
Training goes beyond memorizing techniques. Students learn to recognize situations, respond under pressure and apply effective striking, defensive movement and practical responses with control and purpose. The goal is not to create fear. It is to develop greater awareness, capability and confidence.
Whether you’re new to self-defense or already have martial arts experience, the emphasis is on practical skills, serious training and becoming better prepared for situations you hope never happen.
